Information For Readers
This website is using the latest OJS software. From January 2020 this ISSS Journals site is on servers run by Simon Fraser University (SFU). ISSS began using early versions of this software in 2004 on its own server. From 2004 - 2019 the journals.isss.org website hosted "Proceedings". Each year a new Proceedings in a new "journal" was created. When ISSS moved the OJS site to SFU the Proceedings from 2004-2019 were moved too and you can see the list on this site.
Beginning in 2020 this site is now hosting what is called the "Journal of the International Society for the Systems Sciences". Volume numbers will continue to increase each year. Edition 1 of each year will be the "Proceedings of the Annual Meeting".
This nuance of a distinction maybe slightly confusing and is the result of the way we are now implementing the software with SFU support. In future it could be that ISSS decides to produce more than one edition each year and could be that Edition 2 is a "Yearbook" and or a "Bulletin" or "Special Issue" on a theme.
We encourage readers to sign up for the publishing notification service for this journal. Use the Register link at the top of the home page for the journal. This registration will result in the reader receiving the Table of Contents by email for each new issue of the journal. This list also allows the journal to claim a certain level of support or readership. See the journal's Privacy Statement, which assures readers that their name and email address will not be used for other purposes.
