Abstract

This interdisciplinary study proposes a framework for the human development. Drawing on 15 years of collaborative work, the study examines five key domains inward a critical relation toward peace and progress; and the possibility of moving from a Knowledge Society to a still possible Consciousness Society. The goal is to identify a coherent set of ideas that can guide humanity’s future development.

Let us propose a broad conceptual framework for what the next stage of humanity should be – let call this the Next-Steps Human. The aim is to gather the minimum essential knowledge needed to build a coherent set of definitions, principles, and propositions about a systematic and systemic human development into the today’s world.

This framework is based on about 15 years of prior work, done by the author (as coordinator) with colleagues in an International Consortium called “Generosity-Creativity-Solidarity”. The members-participants, within our set of projects (16 major scale works, approx. 45 participants from 10 countries - 2007-2026) were elicited an interdisciplinary and/or transdisciplinary type of representation-frames of the problems – and respectively the corpus of ‘solving complex-problems’, meaning it tries to combine insights from many fields rather than stay within one classical-scientific-discipline.

More specifically, we, the International Consortium members-participants were/are acting and still want to (re-)examine –in continuity– five major related-areas (A -:- E):

A. The relationship or tension between the Natural and the Artificial in today’s Knowledge Society.
B. The connection between Biodiversity and Spirituality into the context of our global crises.
C. Whether Extended Realities can improve Societal Education, Administration, (re-)Construction of our Liberties, (re-)Construction of the Prosecution, revising the Communication ó Connectedness, Explanation ó Understanding, and respectively eliciting a new construct “Subtleness” beyond Probabilities and Fuzziness.

D. Whether new professions such as “Peace Entrepreneurship” and “Progress Entrepreneurship” are possible-necessary-sufficient.
E. Whether humanity can-will-must move from a “Knowledge Society” to a “Consciousness Society” – which is the price/benefit?
