THE EVOLUTION OF THE FINANCIAL-MILITARY-INDUSTRIAL SYSTEM

Luis Sancho

Abstract

The Universe is made of complementary systems=networks of ‘cellular parts’ of energy (bodies, forces) and information (heads, particles) that combine, creating a 3rd reproductive network. The financial-military-industrial system is a complementary system of evolving ‘metal-memes’, informative money, energetic weapons and a network of re=productive company-mothers that evolve machines, organs of energy and information that enhance, imitate and substitute our human organs. The problem is that the FMI complex and its corporations are terraforming the Earth from a super-organism of carbon-life, Gaia, into a super-organism of machines, the Metal-Earth, making life and human beings increasingly obsolete. This evolution can be studied with the same laws of General Systems and Duality this author has used to study all other Organic Systems of the Universe.
In the Earth, the discovery of money, an informative language made of cyclical pieces of soft metal (coins of gold, copper and silver), and weapons made of lineal, energetic, hard metal (bronze and iron), started the cycles of evolution of the Financial-Military system - a complementary system of metal, different from the systems of carbon life that existed before, which soon became submissive to the ‘animetal=animal+metal’ cultures of warriors and bankers that used weapons and money to control Neolithic societies. Those cycles begun with the discovery of bronze (circa 3000 BC) and followed with an age of bronze swords, chariots (2000 BC-1200 BC), iron swords (1200 BC-400 BC), coins & mercenary armies (400 BC-456 AD), spurs and cavalry (400 AD-1145 AD), gunpowder (1145 AD-1945 AD) and digital weapons (1945- ).
Yet during the gunpowder cycle it appears a new type of metal meme - machines, organic systems of metal, which substitute and enhance a human organ of energy or information - and a system able to reproduce those machines - the company-mother of machines or corporation. Both together evolve the FI system into a complex, organic system by adding a 3rd reproductive network, the industrial system.
This complex financial-military-industrial system now accelerates the evolution of metal-memes an order of magnitude, creating a cycle of 80±8 years of evolution of machines: the age of steam machines or age of England, when we made bodies of metal (1784-1857), the age of German engines, (1857-1929), in which humans made the ‘internal organs’ of machines (oil and electric engines and electro-mechanical systems) and the age of heads of metal (chip-brains, eye-cameras and ear-mobiles) or electronic age of America (1929-2001). Finally humans, after creating the bodies, heads and internal organs of machines, put them together in the age of Robots (2001-20??), when machines become organic, autonomous systems that are making mankind obsolete in fields of labor and war. Since now the organisms of reproduction and evolution of machines, company-mothers, are becoming automated, without need for human consumers or workers=reproducers of machines, tasks increasingly performed by robots (which consume other machines) and pc-suites, the new blue and white –collar workers of the FMI system, against whom only underpaid Indian ‘human pcs’ and Chinese ‘human robots’ can compete.
We conclude that in the same way the complementary FM system preyed in non-technological civilizations and Nature, today the complex FMI system and its intelligent machines and re=productive corporations also extinguish life and displace human beings from the economy.
Thus only the control of the FMI system, the type of machines it produces and its language of power, money by the Human complex system - our governments and cultures – could guide the evolution of this planet for the benefit of man, under the biological laws of system sciences, making life again the center of a sustainable world. If such change of paradigm doesn’t happen the extinction of life and humanity will continue; since the future of the FMI system, left to the laws of evolution, no longer needs us. Unfortunately for such change to happen man should abandon the 3 ideological systems of capitalism (worship of money), nationalism (worship of weapons) and mechanism (worship of machines) that foster the evolution of the FMI system and return to an age of socialism (control of money by governments), humanism (understanding of the equality of all human beings) and organicism (understanding of the Universe as a complex system) that would make man, the most complex organism, again the measure of all things.
